The Accommodation

Are the luxury chalets nice? Yes, they are.

Do they have appliances? Yes, each luxury chalet has a dishwasher, fridge, induction hob, kettle and microwave.

If I don’t want to live the luxury life, are there other options? Yes, there are standard chalets and campsites.

Are there camping options? Yes, there are.

Is there cell phone reception? No.

Is there WiFi? Yes, you can purchase vouchers at the reception.

Can I buy wood, matches and blitz? Yes, you can organise at the reception.

Why would I need to buy these things? You need to light fires to keep warm.

Is there a restaurant? Yes.

What is the food like? Good, simple, home-cooked food.

Are there braai facilities? Yes.

Can I get a cappuccino there? Yes, you can.

What if I forget to bring food? There is a small shop on site that sells snacks, preserves and wine.

Activites & Facilities

Is there a gift shop? Yes, you can buy homemade treats, chocolates, snacks, wine and beer.

Are there things to do at Kromrivier? Yes, the farm offers horseback riding, mountain bike trails, as well as hikes.

Are there things to do nearby? Yes, there are several hikes, a wine cellar and historical landmarks in the area.

Is there a place to get some work done? If you absolutely need to work, you can sit in their restaurant.

Do you need a 4×4 to get there? It’s highly recommended, but it’s not impossible without one.

If you’re off to the Cederberg, have a great time! No matter where you stay you’ll end up having a great experience.  There is so much to do and see in the area and you’ll be blown away by the natural beauty. I certainly was.

    You can make it in there in a VW Polo if you drive gently :) It is absolutely my favourite place to stay in the Cederberg!
