The Week that Was: Walks, MINI’s and French Dinners

Written by , Posted in Average Girl Diary, Photography

Headed to the promenade after work with Fae.

We were walking pretty regularly up until we both got sick [read: the plague.]

We laughed, we spoke about nothing and everything, tried to capture the sunset and puppy-watched.

There are few things in life that are better than this.

A walk through the GreenPoint park.

This place is beautiful and tranquil and everything you need after a day’s work.

Take a walk through it on a weekday.

No excuses, the gates only shut at 7pm.

An amazing dinner at V’s. Neal took pics, including the one above.

V is incredibly talented in the kitchen and her meals are first class.

Tonight was no exception.

We had sticky soy salmon, coconut sesame noodles, cucumber salad and pak choi with shiitake and chilli.

Dinner with my favourite Italian Mama.

Contemplating starting Italian lessons with her.

[If you're interested in learning, let me know.]

Soups, salad, lasagne [best], homemade chocolate and laughter every two minutes.

[Had a lot of home-cooked meals this week thanks to very good friends.]

[Also bought an electric blanket thanks to my bank account.]

Rux arrived from the States and this surprise made my week.

Hadn’t seen him for a year, thank god we have the kind of friendship that picks up right where it left off.

Lunch at Massimos. I’ve cut out wheat, so ate soup instead.

Had buyers remorse when I saw his pizza and Fae’s pasta :(

Celebrations because Kelly is back from ze Germans.

She taught them a thing or two and managed to get the samples through customs.

[Yes, Kelly actually is an international women of mystery.]

Somehow a welcome back dinner, turned into a party that stopped round about 3AM.

Ended up squashing 6 people in a MINI, heading to DecoDance and closing Neal’s arm in a car window.

Grum somehow managed to fit into the world’s smallest boot.

The bulldog in the back of my car will never be the same again.

A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same.
Elbert Hubbard

Airport run to fetch Pez, who was back from racing up in PE.

He’s currently 2nd in SA. [How proud? So Proud.]

Somehow we ended up shopping.

[Decision greatly influenced by the fact that Jo Borkett is having an AMAZE sale.]
