Our proudly South African Bafana World Cup squad was announced on 01 June 2010. Admittedly and rather shockingly I know very little about our Soccer squad.
Don’t panic if you’re also a few players short of a full Bafana, you’ve come to the right place.

Born 17th March , 1982 this Jozi local is currently playing for Everton in the English Premier League.
One of the stars of Bafana, the country is expecting awesome things from this young man.
He made his international debut against Turkey and in 2010 was awarded Evertons Player of the Season.

Born 22nd December, 1982 in Soweto, Modise currently plays for Orlando Pirates. He is currently the ambassador for McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Nike, Samsung and Telkom.
He made his first appearance with the Bafana squad against Malawi and he supported Kaizer Chiefs as a youngster.

Scoring the first goal of the 2010 World Cup, in the opening match against Mexico, Tshabalala is a local hero!
South Africa shook when an entire nation screamed in celebration when the ball left his foot to find it’s way past the keeper and straight to the back of the net!
Born 25th September 1984, Tshabalala grew up in Soweto and currently plays for Kaizer Chiefs.
He made his international debut in a friendly against Egypt in 2006.

Born 9th June 1982, like a lot of the mid-field Letsholonyane hails from Soweto.
Nicknamed YeYe, he has played for South Africa since 2008 and scored his first international goal in a recent match against Guatemala.
He currently plays for Kaizer Chiefs.

Born 22nd May, 1986 this Durban footballer currently plays for Golden Arrows . This defensive midfielder grew up in the Clermont township.

Born 24th November, 1984 Dikgaco currently plays for Everton in the English Premier League. Quite a distance from his hometown of Brandfort.
He made his debut for Everton in 2009, but was sent off in the 41st minute for slapping Scott Parker. ( I laughed at this ! ).
He made his international debut against Mauritius.

Out damned French! Out I say !
Sibaya was born 25th November 1977 in Durban . He currently plays for FC Rubin Kazan in Russia ( Brrrrr! )
Before heading off to Europe he played for Jomo Cosmos.
He has 52 caps for Bafana and was part of the 2002 FIFIA World Cup squad.

See it’s true what they’re saying, Bafana is full of surprises in the 2010 World Cup
!
Born 20th March 1980, Moriri grew up in Mpumalanga and currently plays for Mamelodi Sundowns.
He made his international debut against Lesotho in 2003.
He scored his first goal for Bafana against Chad in 2007.

Born 11th April 1985 Davids has recently signed to play for Lierse S.K in Belgium.
Davids grew up in Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town and made his debut for South Africa in 2004.
Since then he has made 23 appearances for the national side.
We know you’ll give the guys up front some valuable support.
We’ll be supporting from the games, couches, clubs, street corners and side mirrors
