Came across this and thought it would be great if we could ditch the Vuvuzela and Zakumi purchases and support soccer where it really counts!
Girls Soccer Team
Suurbraak is the second oldest mission station in South Africa.
It is an impoverished rural community situated 20km outside of Swellendam.
The local soccer team, Uprising Stars have started a girls’ team and are desperate for boots, socks, tops and shorts.
At the moment they are playing barefoot.
